Love is in the air

What an amazing adventure the past couple of months has been!

So...since it has been so long since I have posted on here...I have a new boy in my life...well two really. Josh and his 6 year old son Seth.

I have known Josh for many years and I have always had a bit of a crush on him but I met him because he was my friends boyfriend, so clearly out of bounds.

Anyways...turns out Josh has always thought of me as his 'ideal' girl and said he always dreamt of being with someone like me but never though it would actually be me. It is a very very long story but basically Josh recently seperated from his wife (long time coming) and about a month or so ago Josh and I realised that our feelings for each other were reciprocated and we have been attached at th hip ever since.

Josh treats me like a total princess and makes me feel like the prettiest girl in the world. This I have never felt before.

For valentines day we stayed up until midnight the night before so that we could exchange cards right on valentines day. His card was so amazing...he wrote on every possible part on the card, front and back and the words he wrote were so beautiful. Then we got up on Saturday and went to an engagement party which was really nice, then had lunch at wellington point.
Sunday Josh took me shopping in the city where he spoilt me rotten! He brought me 2 big warm jackets to take to Europe (I go in 2 weeks!!) a whole new outfit, sunnies and also paid for lunch then took me out to dinner. It was like a valentines day weekend! He just adores me and I adore him :)
We are so comfortable around each other because we have known each other for so long and already know everything about each other. I feel like I am going out with my best friend and my ideal boyfriend. Blah blah blah lol.

Anyways...I just wanted to brag about how amazing my boyfriend is and how I never dreamt of feeling this happy with someone:)

Monday...A day like no other...

There is always a terrible feeling that looms on a Monday morning....

The feeling that the weekend is over ... and a new week is just begining...

Usually Monday's don't get to me so much, the day always goes quickly because I am so busy...But this morning I am really struggling to get moving!

I know that when I get to work I will look at the amount of things I have to do today and possible have a stroke!

We have had so many staff changes lately which have included two members of my team leaving, leaving my team with a staff count of...ONE! ...Its just me!! Not only am I picking up the slack for the two staff members from my team that left but I also have my own work to do which is a full time job in itself!

How on earth am I going to make it through this week???

I just have to suck it up and deal with it I suppose...
But I will still complain while I am doing it HAHA...

Not worry!

In other news...I have pre booked my Europe trip, the agent is emailing me the final details today and then it will be locked in!
It will be about 6 weeks from 1/3/09 travelling around great Britain andEurope with a 4 day stop over at Korea on the way home :D

Im stoked!

Anyways...I better go drag Latte Boy's bum out of bed so we can get going...

XX

TOO SOOOOON??!!??!!

Sooooo....

Last night Latte boy stayed at my place and we were laying in bed when he quizzed me about how I felt about him....

I didn't really know what to say because I don't really know how I feel.
I like him, a lot, but I still feel like we are just getting to know each other, after all it has only been a month.

I told him that I really liked him and that I have been enjoying hanging out with him...I didn't know what else to say.

He looked a little bit deflated and said "Is that all you feel? You really 'like' me?"

He continued to say how he thinks I should be more open and tell him exactly how I feel. He thought I was hiding my feelings from him...

I just didn't know what to say...I seriously don't know how I feel. I like him, I really do...But I am certainly not about to drop the "L" word!!

We had a similar conversation a couple of weeks ago, but when it comes to me asking him what he feels he manages to dodge the question...this time he was open about how he feels... much to my surprise!

He told me that he has never felt this way about a anyone even though he has been ENGAGED before.
He said 'If I told you that I was falling in love with you then that would be a massive understatement'

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe I am afraid of commitment or something but ...Im not even calling him my boyfriend yet and he is practically dropping the "L" word!

I feel like I am leading him on...or ...I don't know. I want to be with him but I just don't think that we have the same feelings for each other...Maybe I just take a little bit longer to fall for people than he does?...Maybe I am just scared of getting hurt or something... I have never been with someone like this before so it's all very new to me!

What do you think?? How soon is too soon to drop the L word? It's not something that you can take back and its not something that you don't want a response to. I don't want to hurt his feelings but I am not ready to confess my undying love to him yet....

ok so here is the updates haha

date 1 -
I met him in the city because he had some shopping to do ...Then we walked back to my work and put all his shopping in my car and went to the Melbourne in Westend and had a couple of drinks. After a couple of drinks we went back to his place, he lives in an apartment in westend and it has really nice views!
We just hung out..and made out... lol and then i went home at about 2.30am....

Date 2 -
He text me yesterday morning and after a few texts back and forth he asked me what I was doing later in the arvo and he came all the ay out to my place and picked me up. I told him it would be easier for me just to meet him somewhere but he wanted to pick me up...she he came at about 3pm and then we just went back to his place and sat on the balcony and watched the storm over the city and then watched a movie....but didnt actually watch much of it.... haha...

He is really nice and kinda cute...but we have NOTHING in common, we are total opposites of each other...except that I like lattes and he makes lattes....

Today I am helping my dad with some things, cleaning the house and then going to Big Brother with Shannon :D

Shannon the latte boy...Part II

Ok ... So, in follow up to my last post...

Shannon the Latte Boy manned up and asked me on a date!...kind of...again... lol

He was telling me how he was roller skating last night (training for Ski season) and said that I should go skating with him one night. I laughed and told him that I doubt I could remember how to skate because I haven't skated since I was like 8. He said that it would be fun but if I wouldn't go skating with him that I should meet him for a drink after work tomorrow night.

I considered this to be the better option of the two!

So I shyly laughed and said ok, he gave me his number so that I could text him my number and organise to meet tomorrow after work.

I said that I will see him again tomorrow when I come and get coffee so we can organise it more then and he said 'Great, I am really excited'...

I think he will have a couple of friends there too so its not really a date...I hope its not awkward when I am there by myself with him and his mates haha, who knows? I like meeting new people anyway.

So this is really the first 'date' I have ever been on... Im looking forward to it :)

I will keep you posted!

Thanks for the extra foam....

Shannon the latte boy...

Love life and lack there of...

I think I have been hit on by my latte boy...

I would hate to be one of those girls that think a guy is hitting on them everytime a he looks at them...but I am pretty sure he is keen...You be the judge...

I have been going to the same coffee shop for the past couple of years when I do the banking for work but a new guy started a few months ago and whenever I go in there he says 'Hey Gorgeous' and chats to me while he makes my coffee....which is not all that unusual for a coffee boy but lately he has been excessively nice.

He always compliments me and then on Monday he asked me what I was doing after work and said that he would be at The Melbourne (a pub in Westend) and that I should head down when I finish. I just laughed and said that drinking on a Monday night might be considered a drinking problem lol.

Then on Tuesday when I went in, he came out from behind the counter to talk to me and was asking me what I do and when I explained it he was like 'wow thats really interesting, we should go out for a beer one night, I'd really like to hear more about your job'...then he showed me an article in the newspaper because his friend was in it because he is a chef and turns out that Latte boy is a chef as well and his name is Shannon lol.

Anyways he was saying how he didn't end up going to the pub on Monday night like he said becuase all his friends are on a health kick at the moment and are getting fit for Ski season and that he needs someone new to go to the pub with and that we should get a beer after work one night lol.

Then today when I went in he said that he was telling his housemate about me and realised that he didn't actually know my name....
I was like...ahhh what were you telling your housemate? and he said he was just explaining my job to him or something...anyway so now he knows my name....

I am not sure that he is really my type... He is really lovely but Im not sure that we would have anything to talk about. Who knows?
If he asks me out for a drink on a specific night rather than offering a general invite then I will say yes and see what happens lol.

Its nice to feel like someone is interested in you...Especially given my lack of love life... and recent events. It would be good to have some distraction haha.

Stay tuned for the next installment - I will be seeing him again tomorrow when I go get my Skinny Latte....

<lj-embed id="1" />

Watch that! It totally relates to my latte boy :)

25th Wedding Anniversary

Its my mum and dads 25th wedding anniversary this weekend, here is an old pic I found of them

Not sure what year this was taken, I think it was early eighties.
Anyways, 25 years is a very long time to be married to someone, especially these days, and they are still going stong.
Of course, dad has less hair now and mum has more wrinkles.
I think my dad looks like some Italian Mafia guy...or the Fonz haha. Mum has a lovely Farrah Fawcett Hair do.

I have ordered a cake for their anniversary with this picture on it, hopefully it turns out nice.

Guess who had the worst weekend ever...

I should have stayed in bed on Saturday! It would have saved me lots of money for a start...
Heres how my day panned out...

1.I got up on Saturday morning and was getting dressed and accidently stuck my hand in my ceiling fan... :(

2. I went to DFO with Shannon and found some great bargains.... :)

3.I was driving home from DFO and heading over the gateway bridge when a HUGE rock came off the back of a truck and went under my car...the rock smashed through my front bumper and detroyed the underside of my car...smashed my gearbox housing, ripped holes in my gearbox sump and caused every last drop of oil to leak out...Totally undrivable and is now at a towing companys holding yard until my insurance company pick it up to assess it...I have to pay $700 in excess.... :(

4. I was invited to Micks place for house warming beers... He mentioned earlier in the week that he had no linen so I kindly brought him a Quilt set from DFO and took over a carton of beer for the boys...I get there and its just him and his girlfriend there...a girlfriend who Mick has NEVER mentioned to me and looked awkward when I arrived bearing gifts for her boyfriend...they have been together for a few months apparently...she was like ' oh your Jac, I have heard so much about you, its good to finally meet you'....again, Mick has never mentioned HER to ME... Very awkward. I felt like I was intruding on their quiet night in, even though he had invited me over! so I left a lot earlier than I was planning to and headed home. :(

5. Not long after I got home from Mick's (about 8pm), an old school friend rang to see if I want to hang out with him. I went and picked him up from his place and we went to Wellington Point and then...he hit on me...it was really out of the blue... and awkward...so long story short...I got home at about 2am, confused, akward, stressed, pissed off and very tired. Lol

Thats a big enough rant!

Thank god the long weekend is coming up!

What a weekend!

Oh boy!
What a weekend I have had!
I will start at the top...

I flew to Canberra on Saturday for my friends 21st which was that night.
Her party was in Cootamundra (my home town) which is another 2 hour drive from canberra.
We got to Coota at about 3pm and helped set up for what was going to be a MASSIVE party.
There was a big marquee, chairs, tables, a DJ, a whole lamb being spit roasted and LOTS and LOTS of alcohol.
People starting arriving at about 6pm and by about 8 there was 70-100 people there!
We all got very very drunk...infact...3 entire Kegs were consumed...a keg holds about 300 standard drinks (so I'm told)!
The next day, Sam's house looked like a morgue, with hung over bodies every where. The huge clean up started and took a few hours and then we napped!
Had to fly back on monday so we got on the bus at 3pm and arrived in Canberra at 5.30pm. We then got a cab and went to the airport. We got to the airport at about 6.40 and the flight was 7.45, we had plenty of time....

Or so I thought....

I went to check in ....and ....the flight was actually at 6.45pm, not 7.45!!! Therefore...we missed our flight! I couldnt believe it! I was starting to freak out... we were in Canberra and couldnt get another flight until the next day...we had no choice but to book the earliest flight for the next day... So last night we waited at the airport for almost 3 hours until my friend's sister picked us up...luckily she lives in Canberra and came to the rescue! We stayed at her place and got up first thing this morning (4AM!!) to catch the plane at 5.20am. So here I am at work..after getting up at 4am to fly back to brisbane, I am so tired that I can barely function.
Man it feels good to be back home!

2008

Well here we are, the first day of 2008!

I know that New Year resolutions are a load of bull and that if you want to do something you shouldn't wait until a particular day to start, however, having said that, my New Years resolution last year was to lose weight...the very first and only resolution that I have ever kept, and I am now 40kgs lighter than I was this time exactly one year ago.

I still want to lose more weight but mainly I want to tone up and focus on particular areas.

So, what is my resolution for 2008?....
Nothing.
I am not going to commit myself to something that I am probably not going to do. lol

I guess you could consider me the Grinch of NYE. Whilst I love hanging with friends and staying up all night drinking cocktails, I could do that anytime. The only good thing is that there is a public holiday the next day. Though I did have a great night last night.

So here are some of my plans for the new year...
SAVE MONEY, BUDGET, SPEND LESS, PAY OFF DEBTS....
I guess you get the picture.

By the end of 2008 I need to have saved about $10 000 to go to Europe early 2009 for a month or so.
This means...I am virtually poor and will be scrimping for an entire year.
I have my budget fully planned out so that by the time I go to Europe I will have plenty of money and I will have all my debts paid off (namely my pesky credit card).
I have a bit of a two year plan which includes getting a big pay rise at work (hopefully in th next couple of months), going to Europe to cure my travel itch and then saving lots of money when I get back so that I can move out of my parents house and into a place of my own (renting of course, I doubt I will ever be able to afford to BUY my own house unless I move to the MIDDLE OF NO WHERE!)

So, tomorrow is back to the daily grind, going to work, coming home and then exercising. I like to have routine I just wish it didn't include WORKING or EXERCISE :(

I hope you had a great NYE!

Happy 2008, may it be safe and awesome!

Me and my brother and sister decided to get some photos done for them for christmas - this is a couple of them - (there were aboput 300!)

I went to Justin Timberlake last night....
I don't actually like Justin's music all that much but I just knew that it would be a great show. And I was dead right!
He just has this intense sex appeal...and I have no idea why. He is not overly attractive but his confidence and arrogance is strangely appealing.
He strutted across the stage like he was god's gift to women...and all the women there would agree, he is. He just made you feel like he was about to take you home and have hot sex with you...regardless of the other 10,000+ people that were there. lol. Anyway... that's enough fantisizing over JT.
The staging, lighting and dancing was all amazing too.

Really great night!

Ok....SO months and months ago I asked my boss if we could get a fighting fish for the office... she said she would think about it and we haven't really heard anything else about it, UNTIL yesterday. My boss brought a vase and some rocks and I just had to pik out a fish... So I went to the pet shop this morning an got the prettiest fish.

This is what it look like... This isn't actually my fish but it is the same as the one i brought! It is a crowntail fighter

Its silly but I am excited about it :)

Good Charlotte at IndyFest

On Saturday I headed down the coast to IndyFest.
It was AWESOME. I was right against the barrier for Good Charlotte and had perfect, uninterupted view of them.

Be an organ donor!

Every Thursday night there is a show on TV called ‘The Gift’….
It is a show about real people who are in desperate need of an organ transplant.
Each week it follows the life of seriously ill people who often die without receiving the organ that would most probably save their life.
It also outlines how one person’s organs can save numerous peoples lives. As scary as it is to think about dieing, wouldn’t you rather die knowing that your organs could be used to save someone’s child, mother, father, sibling or friend?

Did you know that just having Organ Donor on your licence doesn't fully register you as an organ donor?
To be properly registered as an organ donor, Medicare needs your signature.
If you would like to register please print this out and fax it back, they will then add you to the database and send you a card which you can keep in your wallet to verify your intent to donate.

http://www.medicareaustralia.gov.au/resources/aodr/medicare_aodr_code_d_1206.pdf

Do it, who knows, maybe you will need an organ one day

I have been so tired all this week, I think I am still trying to catch up on sleep from last weekend. I have had a busy week as well.
Last night I babysat the Chris Warren's 3 FERAL children (He is the federal sec. of MEAA). And I have to do the same tonight...

You can always tell the children that never have their parents around, they crave attention whether it is good or bad, and show off around new people. These kids, although they are naughty, I feel sorry for them. They have a live in nanny that looks after them at home and when they go on holidays Chris gets people to babysit them, no wonder they are terrors.

I wish I could have said no, but I was put on the spot... Oh well.

So what a way to spend Friday night...

I am going up the coast on Sunday to spend time with my Pop who is up from SA, and my auntie and cousins. I am actually looking forward to it.

In other news...I am back on my diet and exercising regularly.
For a couple of months I got a bit slack...whilst I wasn't putting on weight and was still eating relatively healthily, I wasn't exercising or being as strict as I should have been. I have about 10-15 more kgs to lose before I am at my goal weight. I am hoping to be fairly close to it by Xmas :) I still feel really overweight and I hate my body shape but i guess all that takes time, I wish I had time to go to a gym, instead I go for a walk by myself around southbank and the city after work every night.

Anyways...Thats enough ranting for now.

Outie.

XX

Well I am back from my little trip to the country side.
My little home town hasn't changed much but the small changes are definately obvious.
It was so gret to be back there... I honestly considered moving back! I felt so comfortable there and really settled, like I had never left.
My friend Sammy hasn't changed much, she is so lovely, one of the most kind hearted people I know.
ohh.... I wish I was still there :(

Any way, a couple of pics

The farm that Sammy lives on

Sammy's house, it was so cute!

Sammy washing up after a great BBQ that her boyfriend Matt cooked us

Home sweet home!

It has been a long time since I posted anything on here so I will just do a quick update :)

I have been fairly busy lately with work, it is a busy time of year for us.
Apart from that I have been all over the place, I went to Sydney for work for a week and Shannon came for a few days, it was fun we went all around Sydney and did touristy things (The aquarium was fab!)
The week after that I went to the Gold Coast for a week with my friend Chris, we stayed at this nice resort on a lake at Currumbin/Palm beach. It was a really relaxing week.
Chris took me on a Gondola dinner cruise around the Gold Coast canals which was really cute! It was this old school gondola complete with a funny old man driving it :)
We also went to Currumbin wildlife sanctury which was fun too, I am not much of an animal person but it was fun to do something different.

I have been back at work two weeks now and I am flying to Canberra tomorrow and then heading down to Cootamundra which is a tiny little country town, I was born there and lived there until we moved up to QLD in 2000. I haven't been back there for 3 years so it will be great to catch up with friends and family. I am sure the town hasn't changed much, but I am glad it hasn't because it just wouldn't be the same.
I have very fond memories of my childhood in Coota, typical country town. Everyone knows everyone and the people are very community minded.
If I knew that I could get a relly good job there then I would seriously consider moving back, for a short time atleast. But I guess that is the problem for farming towns, never enough jobs and the drought causing farmers to leave their farms and get jobs in town.
My friend Hayley is coming down with me too so it will be good to show someone where I grew up, its hard to explain but Coota has a very big place in my heart. I only lived there until I was 14 however it will always be my home.

There isn't very much to take photos of but I will try and get some photos that really capture Coota :) I am only going for 4 days but would have liked to have been able to go for longer!

I will try and do another update when I get back!

Be good :)

XX

What a massive couple of weeks at work!
We are so under staffed with people being on holidays and away. It is just a bit out of control at the moment!
I know that i have just had a holiday but I feel like I really need another one!
Its not just work thats buggin me at the moment but its really making it worse.
I think I was far to relaxed in Bali and got used to cocktails and facials and thats just not reality!

Things should be back to normal in the office in a couple of weeks but until then its insane.
Everyone is annoying me lately too lol. I have become a bit intolerant and thats just not what I am normally like.

Good news is that I have some really fun things coming up. Including The QLD media awards, which isn't until next month but I am excited now! It will be a real blast with eveyone there. Especially will be good to have Justin and steph there, they have had a really hard time the last few months so it will be a really great night for them I think. And EKKA is next month!! I don't even know why i like Ekka, its such a waste of money but for some reason I get excited, like a kid at the fair... lol

Well I better get back to work :( even though I want nothing more than to just go home....

I miss Bali

Outie
XX

Come Together Festival, Sydney 2007 06 09

Come Together Festival was a 2 day music event held in Sydney over the Queen's Birthday long weekend.
With headlining acts such as Every Time I Die, Against Me, Norma Jean, Grinspoon and many more, the festival was sure to impress from the moment the line up was announced.

With weather forecast for Sydney a little less than horrible, the day was rainy, windy and very cold. Sydney was a wash of rain and broken umbrellas.
Arriving in Sydney at approximately 10am, we decided to walk through the city to Luna Park. We arrived at the venue a short time later with the first band already playing.
It was a few hours later before Avalon Drive were to grace the stage with their killer set. Never has this band put on a bad show, this was to be no exception. The room packed out and people were eagerly awaiting their appearance.
Starting with their new songs 'A view from a far' and 'Make your move' followed by some much loved favourites 'Running Outside Alone', 'Get Up' and my personal favourite 'At War With Butterflies'.
Sydney just can't get enough, and there were even some shouts for an encore.

A little after the boys finish playing, we head upstairs to a pseudo nightclub with a great DJ. The DJ is turning out some really great songs ranging from Good Charlotte to Korn. The party is really getting started with Avalon Drive and friends starting a break dancing circle. They each take their turn at the worm and various other 'gansta' moves which are not very well executed but with confidence Wil seems to pull it off.
Ryan seems to be trialling some new fashion looks, which include wearing one thong, with the other tucked into his jeans. Unsure how Sydney will respond to this outrageous, yet dazzling fashionista that we Brisbanites have come to love.

It is now time to head back to the airport, this proved to harder than we originally expected. With Shane somewhat intoxicated, he seemed a little less than willing to head back to Brisbane without seeing Norma Jean. Damion managed to talk him around and we grab a cab to the airport where a comedy of errors unexpectedly followed.
Shane realises that he has in his possession the key to the hotel that the other 3 boys are staying at. After some laughs and reassurance, we realise that this isn't such a big deal after all. Damion's stomach starts to bark so we are preparing to get some dinner. Damion reaches into his pocket only to find that he too has something that the other 3 boys need. The key to the tour van. Damion is overcome by worry and guilt, realising that they now have no way to get to the hotel, which Shane has the key to.
Damion suggests he call BJ to explain the sticky situation but Shane feels it is more important to take photos of this uncanny situation.
After further discussion, and a few happy snaps, Damion takes both keys to the reception desk to be picked up by the other three.

A couple of hours later and we all arrive safely back in Brisbane where the weather was pleasant by comparison.

All in all, it was a fantastic day. Both Mick and myself had an absolute blast and would happily brave the fiercely cold weather to do it all over again.

Thank you Avalon Drive for making our day!

<3<3

***Disclaimer - Some details of this blog may be slightly exagerated or dramatised, however the course of events remains accurate***

Almost the end of another week.

I can't believe how fast time goes when you are busy!
Not much new is happening, just work work work.

Some good news is that I am going to the Come Together Festival in Sydney on the 9th June, and I am very, very excited. My friend Damion, who is in a band called 'Avalon Drive' managed to get Mick and I free entry and is also trying to get us backstage passes!! I have booked the flights so now I am just counting down the days.
Avalon Drive are also playing a gig on Saturday which will be sure to impress!
With the release of their new single and the showcase of a few new songs, it is bound to be a killer night! Great friends, Great music and plenty of alcohol!

Tomorrow night(Friday) I will be going to see The Used (USA) at The Arena which will be great. They are only playing two shows, one in Sydney and one in Brisbane, so I was very lucky to get tickets before it sold out (which it did in a matter of minutes!). It is also Mick's birthday tomorrow night, and as much as I want to have a big night I, 1)Can't afford it and 2)I need to save my energy (and liver!) for Saturday night.

I also will be collecting my tickets for Bali from the travel agent on Saturday! It's all happening!

Come to think of it, when I started this blog I said 'Not much new is happening' but I guess it is!

Well, back to work I guess.

Outie.

X

Update!

Well, It sure has been a long while since I posted on here!
I have been incredibly busy the past few weeks, both at work and at home.
Work has been bedlam the past month or so with staff coming and going and other staff away.
My work colleague has been away for almost 6 weeks now and is unsure when he will be coming back....which means that I am doing both our jobs and it has proven to be quite a large workload!

Enough about work!

I have been busy almost every weekend with gigs, concerts, birthdays and other events. Last weekend was my laziest weekend in quite a while and even then it was mothers day on sunday and I had a few other plans.
I will be glad when I can just take some time out to myself.

My holiday is getting closer and closer. Just over a month to go now and I am very excited!
I went on a plane for the first time on Monday and didn't mind it too much so I am sure I will be fine going to Kuala Lumpar (even though it is 6 hours then followed by a 3 hour flight to Bali).
I have a far bit of money saved up and I am looking forward to going nuts at the markets and stuff. Hopefully I can find some really cool things!

My diet is still going ok. I sometimes just wish I could eat and drink whatever I like, diet food can become bland and boring.
I have lost just over 25kgs since I started...Which was a long while ago now (I think January, kind of a new years resolution).
I still have a while to go before I will be where I want to be, though I don't have a specific goal in mind.
I want to lose another 4kgs before my holiday which I am confident that I can do.

I think that is about all from me for now. A quick update.

Outie.

XX
